Berbagi Buku : Little Step Movement

Assalamualaikum and hello my blogworld! :)

It's weekend but Im working. Oh my~ ;{

But, I should be positive and stay focus on my work because Im doing my responsibility right? :))

Oh ya, today I would like to share with you about the 'Berbagi Buku' Program from Little Step Movement. The program was initiated to help the unfortunate kids gain as much knowledge as they could by reading the books. I believe you already know that a book is a door to a whole wide of knowledge right? Yup, I do believe in it too. As a book lover, I also wanted those kids to learn something, at least to let them to have a better view about life. I mean, they are already unfortunate, limited sources of learning, even more the condition worsen by not enough and proper studying facilities. Thus, I should be part of the solution.

How is the action?

Well, it's easy. The Little Step movement already spread the news via twitter and you can check their blog too, hashtag for that is #berbagibukuLS. Here is the poster :

Yup, you can just simply drop your books, new books, old books that are suitable for the kids and still in good condition (for old books) by contacting the people who taking care of the drop point all over Indonesia. For those in Balikapan, you can contact these two individuals for donation :

And for my friends in Schlumberger, you can drop your books to me and I will send to the drop point. For now, I already bought 4 books for the kids. InsyaAllah nextweek I will buy some more books. This might be a small number, but I believe if more participation from all of my generous friends, I hope we can collect a lot of books before the dateline. Aamiin :)

From me for the kids, how about you? :)

I Won't Give Up - Jason Mraz

I fell in love with this song. Really love it. Meaningful. :)

When I look into your eyes
It's like watching the night sky
Or a beautiful sunrise
Well, there's so much they hold
And just like them old stars
I see that you've come so far
To be right where you are
How old is your soul?

Well, I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
I'm still looking up

And when you're needing your space
To do some navigating
I'll be here patiently waiting
To see what you find

'Cause even the stars they burn
Some even fall to the earth
We've got a lot to learn
God knows we're worth it
No, I won't give up

I don't wanna be someone who walks away so easily
I'm here to stay and make the difference that I can make
Our differences they do a lot to teach us how to use
The tools and gifts we got, yeah, we got a lot at stake
And in the end, you're still my friend at least we did intend
For us to work we didn't break, we didn't burn
We had to learn how to bend without the world caving in
I had to learn what I've got, and what I'm not, and who I am

I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
I'm still looking up, still looking up.

Well, I won't give up on us (no I'm not giving up)
God knows I'm tough enough (I am tough, I am loved)
We've got a lot to learn (we're alive, we are loved)
God knows we're worth it (and we're worth it)

I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
I'm still looking up

Am I Ready??

Assalamualaikum and hello my blogworld! :D

Let’s get to the point. The main purpose of posting this brand new blog update. The title of this post is a question. Obviously, the question is directly for myself. Hhe :p

Im not sure how to start it, but here it goes. Am I ready for the next phase of my life? Am I ready to be committed in a marriage institution? Am I ready to spend my life later, the whole of my life with someone I just knew about a month ago? Am I really doing this?

Yes.

As simple as that. I am doing it. I have built a commitment to it. And I will fight for it.
Well, the wedding and everything will not be happened this year, we have decided in 2015 just how I planned my year of my own wedding and it’s gonna be on February 14th, most likely 20 months from now.

Just don’t be shocked. Or don’t laugh at me. Just pray for it. Pray that we are meant to be together and the upcoming days are worth to wait. Aaamiin ;’)

Why starts from the very beginning I have trusted this person? I just met him, out of so many Schlumberger’s male trainee, and employee, why HIM?? And out of so many man in Indonesia, why HIM??

The truth is, when he first tried to get close to me, I showed some kind of rejection. I’m just showing that

‘hey boy, this heart is already broken into pieces and it’s not easy to put it back together and if you just wanna play, just go away’

But what he did? He keeps on putting a lot of efforts. Just to get to know me. I can feel that. I was lucky. If I wasn’t away for my training in Kuala Lumpur, I might not know that he really have half of his heart for me. I’ve told you right, we never really talked to each other. And suddenly he fell for me. God scenario is far better than people could ever imagine.

You might ask ‘why wait until 20 months’??

People, this thing is not as easy as I ever thought. For that one fine and special day, others are preparing for months and years. A lot of processes need to be done. A lot of budget needs to be prepared. A lot of things that need to be combined just for that day.
Well, I’m not planning to have a ‘wedding of the year’. Hahahaha WHO AM I?? :P But, I just want to have that D-day all prepared by both of us, just both of us. We do not want to burden our parents, especially it regarding money problem.

The first reason that we will wait for that 20 months, just because in status quo, both of us are trainee in the biggest oil & gas services company. We’re already a permanent employee, but unfortunately we have to undergo a year of ‘green hat’ before we can have a breakout and get our ‘white hat’. The most important thing, once we breakout, we will have more money for savings. Thus, our preparation will be smoother. Oh ya, not to forget, both of us already agreed to start savings from now (the maximum budget has been decided and we share 50-50 cost of it) until next 20 months. Or maybe 15 months, until the lamaran process.

Secondly, we’re preparing our self for the marriage itself. Not just the wedding. Yup, being a husband and wife needs knowledge and preparation. We know that we might not get the real experience, but then again, preparation before the next phase of our life is really important. At least, we’re more mature in facing the situation, especially newlywed’s problems. I have proposed the idea to him for us to join a pre-wedding seminar. And he agreed. So, hopefully after we can have our vacation we will attend a pre-wedding seminar. If you do have any information about that, pleeeeaaassseeeee inform me. hhe :D

So, how’s the plan to  achieve that special mission?

1. SAVINGS, SAVINGS, SAVINGS! Top list of priority. Hhe :D

2. I will meet his family in Belitung Island in December. Why his family first? Because he just got back after school in the US (which I still envy about this until now) and I just started to have my vacation. His hometown is super beautiful! :)))

3. He will meet my parents in Kuala Lumpur around March/April next year. Hopefully he already available for vacation. :)))

4. Lamaran & engagement – 3 or 6 months before February. Which one better, will go first. :D

5. The D-Day – 14th February 2015 (Nikah) Actually I want the akad and reception in one day, but if it creates more harm than good, let’s make it in two different days. So the reception on the 15th. I didn’t chose the date because of Valentines, because I never celebrate it, but it’s all coincidence when we are looking for the date. ;)

*all of the dates starting from lamaran till D-day is still tentative. Still need to discuss with our big family for advise*

That is our plan. Hopefully Allah will bless us for what we are doing. This good intention to have two individual on a marriage institute, to have two big families to become one, hopefully everything will be just fine.

Yes, I realize that human’s plan but Allah’s decide. And we, as a human don’t know exactly what will happen even in next seconds. No need to worry, if we let Allah writes the scenario for us, InsyaAllah we will be very happy to accept the things that will be given to us. Aamiin….

So, my dearest blogworld, please pray for me and my future husband, Agent W. Please pray for our best.

Dekatkanlah…. Segerakanlah… Lancarkanlah…..

Note : I’m not posting this to ‘mempermalukan diri sendiri kalau ga jadi’ but I just want to share something good, which is a good progress in my relationship with him. I have a nightmare experience before and I’m not hoping to repeat another same history. I hope all of you will pray for the very best of us, our journey. If it’s meant to be, it will be. :’)

Amiin…. :)

Hey Lelaki Idaman!

Assalamualaikum & hello my blogworld! :D

Saya yakin teman-teman pasti punya kriteria lelaki idama yang pengen dijadiin pendamping hidup kelak. Biasanya sih ya, ciwi-ciwi manis (azik) pasti ada list yang panjangnya berkilo-kilometer demi seorang pangeran masa depan. Hihihi :P

Well, saya sendiri sebenarnya termasuk orang yang punya list spesifikasi tertentu untuk calon pasangan hidup. Kenapa? Simple. Semua orang punya keinginan. Dan keinginan itu pasti banyak. Maka, terciptalah buku diary anak-anak sewaktu zaman SMP-SMA yang menuliskan impian pernikahan ala tuan putrid negri kayangan dengan pangeran gagah perkasa. (map bahasanya rada lebay) haha.

Emang feeling detector?
5. Harus bisa ngasih semuanya yang saya minta. Even kalau minta bulan sekalipun. LEBAY
6. Harus mapan. Punya rumah, kendaraan. Minimal motor deh. TERLALU

……..

Well, emang sih, ga salah punya impian seperti itu. But then, saya harus NGACA!

In the end of the day, saya sadar yang saya butuh dari seorang lelaki yang akan mendampingi saya kelak adalah :

1. Bertanggungawab. Berani membuktikan apa yang sudah dikatakan.
2. Beriman. Baik agamanya dan bisa membimbing saya.
3. Jujur.

Aamiin ;’)

6 Months

Assalamualaikum and hello my blogworld! :)

Don't get shock after reading the title for this post. This time, I will share with you about my 6 months experience of working. Yup, I believe most of you already know Im working in which company right? So no need to explain a lot about this company then. hhe :D

Alright, first of all, I am really grateful to Allah SWT for His blessings I can directly sign a working contract just after may graduation day. I believe that, everything that happened to me already written by Him and I am walking the path on my life story.

This upcoming May 16th, I will have 6 month seniority working with this company as permanent employee as Lab Technician Trainee. As s Diploma holder, I was hired as a Grade 07 employee and receive spectacular amount of salary (for a Diploma fresh graduate, its a WOW!). Every month, I receive basic salary + geographical coefficient (basic x % of GC = % added of basic salary), housing & transportation allowance. Alhamdulillah, in this half a year of working I can do a bit of savings, help my parents and fulfill my own needs. :D

Apart from that, I also get a lot of benefits. By joining this company, I was able to attend two different trainings at two different city. Firstly, I attend OFS1 training, where the main purpose of this is to introduce about the company to all of the new employee. The venue for this training was at The Park Lane Hotel, Jakarta. As someone who grow up from a very 'limited source of money' to live, this luxury hotel was a heaven for me. hhe ^^

Well, I am grateful enough to be there. The hotel, the food, new friends, good instructor, it's too much if Im not thankful right? ;)

Then, I also attended Basic Laboratory Training for Cementing in Kuala Lumpur. Where the purpose of this training is related directly with work as Lab Technician. The training was held in Rohas Perkasa Building, where Schlumberger located in Kuala Lumpur. The reason why I have to go there for my training, not in other countries, because for Asia & Middle East Laboratory, the centre is in KL, so I don't have any other choice. At one point, I do envy those who can go to US, Paris etc for their training, but then, I believe everywhere is also good. Hopefully I can still go to overseas, even if it's not for training, purely holidays. hhe :P

The journey in this company just started. Im still a green hat employee, still need a lot to explore and still have to focus on my career development. Am I really want to build my later career here? Just wait and see ;)
